Q: This year's competition is over. Players often say to me, "The day after losing a game feels even emptier than the day we lost. Normally, we would wake up and start our daily schedule, but the day after losing a game, there's no schedule, and there won't be any games for the next few months." How do you feel about this?

Kingen: I feel the same way. I think tomorrow will feel empty. In a way, we had a lot of opportunities. It's not like we had bad luck, actually we had really good luck. We started with a score of 2 wins and 0 losses, and all we needed was one more win to make it to the quarterfinals, which is more chances than any other team.

Q: And you drew FLY.

Kingen: Yes. I think our team had the most chances. It's actually quite refreshing, although it's regrettable. But it's what we deserve... It feels sad to say that, but I think if you want to make it to the quarterfinals, you have to have the qualifications for the quarterfinals. I think we missed that qualification and left it to the teams that deserve it. We will work hard and prepare for next year, that's the right thing to do.

Q: What do you think went wrong for DK this year?

Kingen: I also think we went wrong at some point, but I'm not sure where the turning point was. I have to think about it. From one perspective, it seems like we forgot the "essence of the game that fits our team's playstyle and preferences" from a certain moment, and that was our biggest problem. For example, when the Zilean version came, Aiming, who plays Zilean, is actually better at carrying late-game hyper carries than Lucian.

Q: Lucid kept playing Jhin.

Kingen: Yes, there were many reasons for that.

Q: It's probably related to confidence as well, although I haven't played professionally, so I'm not sure of the players' exact thoughts. The trust and confidence in oneself, like "We will win if we pick champions we're confident with," did that gradually disappear at some point?

Kingen: It's possible.

Q: I don't seem to be saying the right thing.

Kingen: I think you're on the right track. It's not just one reason, but whatever the reason may be, in short, we definitely missed our opportunities.

Q: Good job, what are you planning to do during the offseason?

Kingen: (laughs) I'm not sure either. I don't know if I'll watch the rest of the world championship. Many players don't watch it either.

Q: Yeah, that's true.

Kingen: I used to envy them, so I didn't watch, but now I think I should watch the games so that I can learn from them and become better next year. Even though I don't know what next year will be like, it's still good to be able to learn from watching the games.

Kingen: Thank you to all the fans who have supported DK this year. We are not happy that we couldn't show a good performance in the end. Kingen: Our coaching staff, Coach Ssong, Coach Bubbling, and Director Zefa, no matter the situation, they trust the players, and I'm very grateful to them.

Our captain, ShowMaker, had the hardest year, and I'm very grateful to him.

Although Kellin was replaced halfway through, and couldn't play with us in the end, I'm really grateful to have worked with him.

To Lucid and Moham, I feel like I could have done more for them, but I didn't fulfill the role of being a good older brother. If they meet a better version of me in the future, I will strive to be a better older brother. Thank you all for this year, and thank you very much, Aiming.
