Hanfmann said in the interview after the match, "I am glad that I was able to come back and win today. Even when I didn't perform well, my teammates were always supporting me, so I am very happy to contribute this point to the team."

In the final doubles match, Germany's new US Open runners-up pair, Kravitz/Putz, defeated Klein/Zerena from Slovakia 7-5/6-3. Germany won the game 3-0. According to the Davis Cup Group Stage rules, the outcome of each singles and doubles match may have an impact on the final qualification situation. Kravitz and Putz stated that although they had to overcome a significant time difference after coming from New York, it did not affect their competitive state. They were pleased to bring a victory to the team today.

Germany team captain, Kohlmann, summed up after the match, "We showed a very hardworking and focused attitude in every match. Maximilian (Matler) set a good starting point for us. Although Yannick's (Hanfmann) form is not at its best, he still found a way to win. Kevin (Kravitz) and Tim (Putz) performed outstandingly despite dealing with the time difference."
